If there is a model of great importance for the Swedish manufacturer Volvo, which in fact represents 30% of its global sales, that is the all-new Volvo XC60, which is renewed in the face of this year's Geneva Motor Show. According to the brand, 'it is one of the safest models ever made', and precisely the most novel is its amount of technology in terms of assistance and security.

The new XC60 has, for example, several systems that now have steering assistance, such as emergency braking, frontal impact mitigation system or blind spot detector, capable of avoiding an accident or carelessness, also intervening on The direction of the vehicle. And, of course, the Pilot Assist assistant of semiautonomous driving.

This system of assistance to the driving can take the total control of the vehicle (direction, accelerator, brake ...) until a speed of 130 km / h, although it is part of the optional equipment. To this is added the multimedia system and connectivity Sensus, compatible with Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
The range of the Volvo XC60 2017 will have diesel options of 190 hp (D4) and 235 hp (D5), as well as gasoline of 254 (T5) or 320 hp (T6). In addition, there will be a plug-in hybrid variant, the so-called T8 Twin Engine, with a power output of 408 hp and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h of 5.3 seconds. At the moment we do not know its electric autonomy and / or consumption and emissions figures.

Production of the new XC60 will start in mid-April at the Torslanda plant in Sweden. For now the information on the model is quite brief, but we hope to have more details soon.
