At the end of August BMW presented its new high-performance saloon, the BMW M5, which we then saw live at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Now we know that the launch edition First Edition, limited to only 400 units for everyone, already has price in our market: 158,845 euros. It will be available for orders this fall, with first deliveries in March.
Basically, this BMW M5 First Edition that celebrates the launch of the new model uses more exclusivity than the conventional version thanks to a lot of elements signed by BMW Individual, starting with the body color 'Frozen Dark Red Metallic'. To the peculiar exterior color are added also external moldings in gloss black finish (grille of the frontal kidneys, lateral gill, window frames, etc ..., sport exhaust system with black finished tails or a set of alloy wheels 20 inches in design of seven double radii and finished also black tone (Jet Black).
In the cabin there is a special 'Merke White' Merino leather upholstery with red contrast stitching, piano black decorative trim, special 'M5 First Edition' anagram, exclusive rugs with white trim and multifunctional M seats, among other things. If you have not yet seen the new BMW M5, you will be interested to know that this high performance sedan hides a 4.4 liter V8 biturbo engine of 600 hp and 750 hp, which for the first time in the model is combined with a system of all-wheel drive or M xDrive. Best of all, the total traction is disconnectable (there is rear-wheel drive mode) for when looking for pure circuit fun.
With such figures, and being lighter than its predecessor, the BMW M5 accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.4 seconds, from 0 to 200 km / h in 11.1 seconds and a top speed of 250 km / h , which can optionally be increased up to 305 km / h. And the consumption? 10.5 liters per hundred kilometers, according to homologation. At the moment we do not know the price of the BMW M5 for the Spanish market, except for the launch version First Edition, although in the German market, for example, the latter costs about 20,000 euros more than normal.
