The novelty of Porsche in the Frankfurt Motor Show, beyond the new Cayenne, is called the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Package. Yes, basically, and to summarize it, is a version of the GT3 without a posterior spoiler. As we expected.
This version will only be available with the manual gearbox, which makes it a Porsche 911R with the surname GT3. It assembles the same atmospheric motor of four liters with 500 CV of power and 460 Nm of pair. A beast, although it does not seem like it, capable of passing from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 316 km / h.
As it is evident, without the gigantic fixed rear spoiler of the normal GT3, the GT3 Package Touring, which is what it will be called in Spain, goes quite unnoticed, despite the fact that it maintains the dimensions of the GT3 body.
We are therefore facing a car that is 44 millimeters wider and 25 millimeters lower than the 911 Carrera as standard. On the rear, the fixed wing has been dispensed with, but to ensure the necessary support at high speed, it assembles the same retractable wing of the normal 911 but in this case with a small profile that gives it some more aerodynamic support.
The rear air intake on the rear hood is clearly inspired by the 911R and carries the GT3 touring inscription. Otherwise, the two exhaust in central position are in metallic tone to match the window frames, but do not despair.
There will be in option a package that paints all these elements in black, with a more sporty and less classic style.
Inside the interior we find a combination of classic style with the interior of the 911. The seats are upholstered in fabric in the central part, while the leather is used for the sides, door panels, dashboard and other areas of the cabin.
It can be equipped with the Clubsport Package that includes anti-roll bars, and also the ceramic carbon brakes can be mounted.
The final price in Spain of the Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring Package is 175,437 euros, the same as the basic GT3. We speak of a true wolf in sheep's clothing, a car racing almost capable of humiliating many super sportsmen who, in the case of this version, can go unnoticed in the eyes of any profane
