Just a few hours ago we talked about the future of Porsche electric sports cars and solid state batteries, but the truth is that the most imminent of Porsche in electric (because hybrids already has in its offer) was born as a prototype ago a couple of years and is called Porsche Mission E. Its arrival to the market is expected for 2019.
The head of Porsche, Oliver Blume, said earlier this year that during this 2017 we will see some prototype of the final version of Mission E, whose name for production we do not know either. If you thought that this car would be a very special model within the reach of a few, in the style of the Porsche 918 Spyder, you were wrong. It will have a more affordable price.
According to Blume told the British magazine CAR, the electric future of the house will have a price similar to that of a Porsche Panamera access, which in Spain part of the 101,504 euros. However, there will also be more efficient or more equipped versions, which will cost more.
To give us an idea of a similar model available in our market, the Tesla Model S has a price in Spain of 86,440 euros for the variant of access 75 rear-wheel drive, although the 100D reaches 114,790 euros and the top of the range P100D, with up to 613 kilometers of autonomy and performance of vertigo (0-100 km / h in 2.7 seconds) amounts to 149,540 euros.
The promise of Mission E
And what announces the future of Porsche? For basically, it is a sports 2 + 2 that promises about 600 hp, an autonomy of the environment of 500 kilometers and great performance, with 0-100 km / h in 3.5 seconds and 250 km / h maximum speed.
At the moment, yes, the Mission E is in phase of development for series (series engineering phase) and should begin its tests in road sooner. At the moment it is expected that Porsche wants to teach us this model, which is expected to be in two years time.
