The Tokyo Motor Show will celebrate its 45th edition between the days of October 25 and November 5. That is the scenario in which most Japanese brands present their news, including Subaru. In addition to the evolution of the Subaru VIZIV, there will be two news signed by STI that we will get long teeth, as unfortunately will only be available for the Japanese market. Yes, they are the Subaru WRX STI S208 and BRZ STI Sport. The first of these is the sports sedan WRX STI S208, which we could consider the evolution of the S207 of the year 2015.
At the moment the definitive technical characteristics are not known, although it is expected that it has something more of power besides clear is of a series of modifications at external level that they are in sight. The fixed wing on the trunk lid with the S208 logo on the sides, the carbon fiber roof, or the aerodynamic details will complete a collector's set. Unfortunately, only 450 units will be made, which will be allocated by lottery on October 25 and it is possible that all of them remain in Japan.
Like its older brother, the Subaru BRZ STI will be a limited edition to 100 units that will also stay in Japan. It emphasizes by the precious color Cool Gray Khaki that shines the bodywork. The body has gained some rigidity, the suspensions are firmer to favor the sports driving and the brakes signed by Brembo emphasize by the red color of the pliers. Inside there are also changes, with new materials and details that reveal that it is an entire STI. We do not know if it will have more power, but I am convinced that this set would admit something more cavalry to encourage the back to skid a bit.
