Tesla Faraday Future FF91 First Time On The Road

Surely you thought that after a dubious mass presentation Faraday Future was about to disappear, but no. A few months after its first staging the brand that intends to dethrone Tesla has released the first video of the Faraday Future FF91 rolling open road and city as a warning that they are (almost) prepared.

Relying on the many incidents in the form of claims for defaults, the construction of its paralyzed megafactories and great uncertainty about its future, the team in charge of developing the FF91 remains determined to push forward its 1,065 hp of power and all its technological arsenal. At least now we know that it is circulating on public roads and that is already a step.

Even so, this is no time to blow the bells on the fly. Faraday Future aims at 2019 as the FF91 year of arrival, at least 18 months of waiting in which many things can happen and another almost two years behind in relation to the brand they want to beat. In fact, that of images is only the first complete prototype, at least outwardly. They are still far from taking pre-series models to roll.

In any case they feel confident to be able to do it, to do it well, and curiously one of their rivals appears briefly in the video. In the second 00:34 where we can see the rear of a Tesla Model S, the luxury sedan that takes five years of advantage accumulating experience and adding technology to its equipment, besides being the germ of a range now composed by the Model X and soon Model 3.

To beat its nemesis, Faraday Future says that when it reaches the market the FF91 will be faster than the Tesla faster, with better autonomy, active aerodynamics even in the tires, better equipped, more luxurious and with electronic equipment and autonomous driving more advanced. Up to 10 high-definition cameras, 13 short-range radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors and a 3D lidar will hide inside this futuristic electric SUV.
