2018 Toyota Land Cruiser capable off-road and more modern

One of the few authentic off-road vehicles left on the market is being renovated. The new Toyota Land Cruiser is presented in the Frankfurt Motor Show, with a more modern design and a more luxurious and refined cabin, but maintaining its robust aesthetics and its unquestionable off-road capabilities.
The Toyota Land Cruiser 2018 is now longer, specifically 6 centimeters for a total of 4.84 meters in the five-door model and 4.57 meters in the three-seater, but maintains its well-known forms. They are redesigned the bonnet, the grill, the headlights, the bumpers and the wheel arches, for example. Ten body colors are available, including two new ones (blue and bronze).
According to Toyota, the hood has been optimized to improve the front visibility and the wheel arches have been raised to allow the driver to better calculate the dimensions of the vehicle when maneuvering. Headlamps (which can be halogen or LED) and grille are also placed in a higher position to improve off-road capabilities.
20.5 centimeters in the three doors, with off-road angles of 31 degrees (attack), 25 degrees (exit) and 22 degrees (ventral). The range of tires includes options of 17, 18 and 19 inches, in different designs and finishes.
In our market will be available exclusively with the 2.8 liter D-4D turbo diesel engine of 177 hp at 3,400 RPM and 450 of maximum torque between 1,600 and 2,400 laps, along with a six-speed automatic transmission (0-100 km / h in 12, 1 seconds and 175 km / h of tip, with 7.4 liters of average consumption). The six-way manual variant offers the same performance but 420 Nm of maximum torque. In other markets there will also be gasoline options (2.7 and 4.0 VVT-i of 161 and 249 CV respectively).

Toyota says that by design and quality, the cabin of the new Land Cruiser makes a significant leap forward. New design for the dashboard and center console, more careful finishes and higher quality materials are its hallmarks.
The dashboard features a new 8-inch color multimedia screen, the steering wheel is redesigned and the console, finished in carved metal appearance and seating areas for the knees of the occupants, includes newly designed air conditioning controls and differentiated controls by zones for everything related to driving and other controls.
The new dashboard incorporates a 4.2-inch TFT central display to display all relevant driving information (vehicle, navigation, audio, driving assistants, alert messages, etc ...), and is controlled from the controls of the steering wheel itself. There is also white ambient lighting for instruments, console and door knobs, as well as in the foot area, central ceiling or glove compartment.
The seats can also incorporate heating and ventilation, and are offered with three-colored tapestries (brown, black / brown and beige). As for decorative moldings, those of metallic appearance are added as an option those of wood, in light or dark tone. Heating on the rear bench, automatic climate control, heated windscreen or a new design key, are also new.
Finally, the Land Cruiser 2018 will also feature the latest Toyota Safety Sense, such as the pre-collision system, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, inadvertent lane change alert, cross-traffic alert, blind spot assist, tire pressure gauge or automatic main-beam headlamps.
