The British manufacturer Rolls-Royce is a regular of special editions and custom-made creations for its customers, but this is one of the first times we attended the launch of a special edition based on another special edition, unless we remember.

We talk about the new Rolls-Royce Wraith and Dawn "Adamas Collection", which in the words of the brand itself are even darker versions of the Wraith and Dawn Black Badge, models that in turn were the darkest of the Goodwood range . Is it messy? A bit.

The Bespoke division of Rolls-Royce (made to measure) proposes 40 Rolls-Royce Wraith and 30 Rolls-Royce Dawn for this Adamas collection, which for the first time can show off a two-tone finish, with the top part of the vehicle painted in red Aphrodite (next to black) or blue Morpheus (next to two shades of black). Both colors have an iridescent effect, according to the brand.

Both Adamas Collection premiere something never seen before in the brand: the figure Spirit of Ecstasy of the front is black and is made with 294 layers of aerospace-grade carbon fiber. For its manufacture, it takes 68 hours of work, no less, and the base on which it is mounted is titanium and now also with a darkened appearance and inscription "Black Badge Adamas".

Starry sky and a lot of "darkness"

In the passenger compartment there are many aspects taken care of down to the smallest detail, such as the clock with 88 black "laboratory" diamonds embedded, forming the infinity symbol of the Black Badges, accompanied by elements of carbon fiber and aluminum, or decorative strips of a darkened metal.

The leather upholstery with pearlescent effect matches the chosen exterior colors, while the steering wheel is also two-tone and the door or transmission tunnel moldings are covered in black leather

The starry roof of Rolls-Royce is nothing new, but color gradients are now used for the Adams Wraith. The 1,340 individual lights created by fiber optic are arranged so that they draw the molecular structure of the carbon to become a diamond.

Finally, the door sill panels welcome the passenger compartment with a backlit inscription that reads "Black Badge Wraith Adamas - One of Forty" in the case of the coupé and "Black Badge Dawn Adamas - One of Thirty" in the convertible.
