Taking advantage of the Beijing Motor Show, the German automaker Audi has unveiled its first long-wheelbase SUV, the Audi Q5L, and as one would expect it is a specific product for the Chinese market, eager for models of great length and generous wheelbase .

With 4.77 meters long, this new Audi Q5L for China has a battle 8.8 inches larger than its little brother, the Audi Q5 we all know, so it also offers more space in the rear (+10 cm ) - something that the Chinese customer values very positively - and a trunk of 550 liters of capacity, expandable to 1,550 liters with the seats folded down.

Audi announces that this new model, which adds to the already available Audi A4L, Audi A6L and Audi A8L, will be available in the market of the Asian giant from this summer and will be manufactured locally at the Changchun factory (at North of China) by the joint venture FAW-VW that already manufactures, for example, the Audi Q5 for the Chinese market. Many of the components needed for production come directly from the factory in San Jose, Mexico.

2.0 TFSI in two versions

When it arrives at the Chinese dealers the Audi Q5L will do it with two different variants of the well-known 2.0 TFSI engine, in both cases with quattro and seven-speed S-Tronic transmission as standard. The first will offer 190 hp and the second 252 hp.

Audi promises an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h of 8.6 seconds for the access model and 6.7 seconds for the top-end version of the 2.0 TFSI, while in turn the average consumption is 6.9 and 7.3 liters respectively. In addition, the Audi drive select offers various driving programs: comfort, auto, dynamic, efficiency and individual.

Depending on the engine chosen, the Audi Q5L offers five different finishing lines, called Vogue, Lifestyle, Design, Sport and Sport Plus, which differ aesthetically in some exterior and interior details, but also at the equipment level. The panoramic sunroof is standard in all versions.

In any case, the range of tires moves between 18 and 20 inches, while all versions include serial assistants such as the Audi pre sense basic or pre sense city. Optional Matrix LED headlights are available, although only from the most equipped versions.
